I long for a deeper connection to the natural.
And by saying it that way I am also acknowledging my embeddedment within a naturalistic framework, whereby there is a natural, =/= from humanness, outside. A framework that I sometimes get to escape during meditation, reading, or by focusing enough on an entity from this natural, enough to feel it not through my touch or glance, but within.
As though I am made of the same substance – glucose, particules, density, a little bit of water, some sort of life. Would my hand grow if I planted it into a rich earthy soil?
Follow-ups:
- Can we undo, or fix a cosmology and how? Even if we have been living within and through it for centuries?
- Can we learn and teach to feel a profound connection to the more-than-human?
- Do you have to immerse yourself deep in the natural for that matter?
